Fabrics:
This year’s production is constructed from a 10oz medium weight, brushed fleece knit jersey. The fabric face is engineered to be smooth and highly durable, while the inside provides a dense, fluffy bed that traps body heat. The matching 1x1 rib has been specially developed to provide excellent stretch and recovery without sagging.
All fabrics are made from 100% organic cotton grown on the Aegean Coast.
Construction:
Designed with durability and comfort in mind. All seams use seriously strong, 100% recycled polyester thread, finished with a double needle coverstitch to keep seams secure and flat against your skin. The double stitched, bound rib collar uses vintage-inspired construction to ensure a collar that keeps its shape. 1x1 ribbed cuffs and hem provide gentle compression for daily wear.
Graphics:
A small and unobtrusive Goose Studios logo is screen printed at the back of the side seam, providing subtle brand recognition without needing to shout about it. Our logo brings the optimism of new growth and blooming flowers within a hand-drawn logo, inspired by skateboarding graphic designs from the 90s.
Labels:
We commissioned London-based graphic designer, Harry Ingrams, to combine information, purpose and fun into our labels and logo. Our main label honours the people behind the farming, processing and sewing of this sweatshirt. Our care label tells it like it is, including a cheeky sniff test. Our size label hides a healthy dose of positivity inspired by our days behind the DJ decks.
Inspired by vintage workwear fits and brought into the modern day. This sweatshirt is an easy going, comfy fit that stays stylish year after year. With a boxy fit through the body and a touch cropped, you’ll find it styles superbly with barrel leg & high waisted jeans, as well as mom jeans and leggings. The drop shoulder softens the shoulders and gives room through the underarm and chest, keeping you cosy and free to move wherever your day takes you.
As a 100% organic cotton garment, please allow between 5 - 8% shrinkage in length and minimal in width. Our sizing takes this change in length into account.
If you are in-between sizes or slightly unsure, we recommend taking the size down.

1. Only wash if it needs it - do a cheeky sniff test!
2. Wash inside out on a 30°c wash.
3. Where possible, air dry. If you do need to tumble dry, go very low and slow. Natural fibres much prefer you taking it easy.
4. With 100% organic cotton, you can give your sweatshirt a re-shape while damp after each wash.
5. Wear it lots and lots. This style is designed to wear in and relax into your natural body shape, much like a pair of high quality selvedge jeans.

We spent 2 years designing and developing this sweatshirt. We sweat the details not just to make the best quality product, but to do it in a way we believe to be more sustainable and more ethical than the vast majority of clothing brands. No brand can claim by making something new that they're truly sustainable, but after 10 years working within sustainable clothing, we know this is our very best attempt.
This sweatshirt is made from 100% organic cotton fabric, including the ribbing. This promotes farming practices that conserve soil, reduce artificial irrigation, increase bio-diversity and avoids all synthetic pesticides and fertilisers. Goose Studios was one of the first UK clothing brands to commit to using only 100% organic cotton, back in 2016. By using only 100% organic cotton fabric, the potential for this style to be mechanically recycled at end-of-life is greatly increased.
We paid a Living Wage Premium to the garment workers who cut, sewed, trimmed, steamed and packaged this sweatshirt. This means during the time they spent working on Goose Studios styles, they were paid a Living Wage. We believe this is the best way for small brands to show bigger factories that there'd demand for doing business better.
We found the closest organic farms that grow crops of the finest organic cotton fibre. This took us to Izmir in Turkey, where we worked within a 100 mile radius to go from farm to final stitch. We treat organic clothing exactly like organic food. Taking inspiration from the Farm to Table movement. Keeping trade within local regions, to protect generational skills and support the local economy.
This sweatshirt was transported by Road from Turkey to the UK. Reducing average carbon emissions compared to air freight on a plane.
For the past 6 years, every purchase made with Goose Studios protects 5 mature rainforest trees thanks to our partnership with One Tribe and Rainforest Trust. We've now protected over 80,000 mature trees across 400 acres of rainforest around the world.
100 Miles
Taking inspiration from the Farm to Table food scene, we went from seed to final stitch within 100 miles to make this sweatshirt. Along the warm Aegean coast of Turkey, the finest Organic Cotton is grown within rich, fertile ground, protected by the Menderes valley mountains. On the relaxed outskirts of the coastal city of İzmir, the cotton is spun, knitted and dyed. Winding it's way up the hills that flank the city, to a light and bright ethical factory to be sewn. Here, we pay the makers a Living Wage premium for their skill and effort.
